Sweetness to the Soul

Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. ~{Proverbs 16:24}

In it's literal sense, honey is not only sweet but has a healing property to it. In like manner, our words are so powerful that they can sweeten the lives of other people as well as to heal the broken hearted. The bible says, death and life are in the power of the tongue thus the words we speak may have an effect for good or for ill on the hearer. Though we generally talk a lot as human beings, to the extent that by the end of the day we won't remember how many words we said, we will surely remember the kind of words we spoke. God never intended that any hurtful speech comes out of our mouths, but the devil well knows that if he can get us to speak ill of/about each other, he can easily win us over to his side.

Moral of the story: Imagine a world where every person you meet would sweeten your soul, they would speak words that would bring healing to your bones. How good and peaceful? That world begins with YOU!
