Its been a while since I posted here, I hope and pray everyone is doing well and the Lord is keeping you in perfect peace. Anyway as I was doing my devotion I came across a thought provoking prayer and I thought I should share it here :)
Immediately the boy's father exclaimed,
"I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"
This is a powerful, honest prayer. No matter how long we've known the Lord, there is always room for our faith to grow stronger. We run up against situations when our faith may falter and we can't seem to connect with God. Deep down inside we know that we do believe; we just can't understand how the belief fits our current need.
The bottom line is that our faith is not negotiable. But we recognize that because of a certain crisis, our faith needs to grow. It's okay to admit that to God and to cry out in prayer, as this heartbroken father did, asking God to help your unbelief turn to belief. He will honor your honesty and answer your prayer.
I pray for nothing less than for you to love Jesus more!
Stay blessed and remain in the Lord :)
